Medical Laboratory Technician

Legacy Health is seeking a motivated and experienced Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team in providing high-quality patient care. The successful candidate must be able to perform a variety of tests on specimens collected from patients in order to diagnose and treat illnesses and diseases. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing samples to ensure accurate results. We are looking for someone with a passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician in a laboratory setting, as well as a degree in Medical Technology or a related field. You will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as perform in a team environment. We also require knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and techniques, and experience with automated laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities: • Collect and process specimens for laboratory analysis • Analyze samples using automated laboratory equipment • Ensure accurate results by following protocols and safety guidelines • Prepare specimens for additional testing or analysis • Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning • Document test results and maintain laboratory records • Communicate results to healthcare professionals • Provide guidance and training to new laboratory technicians • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and quality of care
