- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the inpatient pharmacy, including managing staff, inventory, and workflow.
- Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of medications to patients, following all relevant protocols and guidelines.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the inpatient pharmacy, in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize pharmacy operations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing and physicians, to ensure seamless coordination of care and effective communication.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in pharmacy operations, and make recommendations for incorporating new technologies or processes into the inpatient pharmacy.
- Train and mentor staff, providing guidance and support to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to pharmacy operations.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation, records, and reports for the inpatient pharmacy.
- Act as a liaison between the inpatient pharmacy and external stakeholders, such as vendors, insurance companies, and regulatory agencies.
- Participate in budget development and management for the inpatient pharmacy, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Foster a culture of patient-centered care and customer service within the inpatient pharmacy, promoting a positive experience for patients and their families.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance the safety, effectiveness, and efficiency of medication use within the organization.
- Participate in interdisciplinary committees and teams to promote collaboration and continuous improvement within the organization.

Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Manager Pharmacy Inpatient Operations Position At Legacy Health. This Educational Background Provides A Strong Foundation In Pharmaceutical Knowledge And Understanding Of The Healthcare Industry.
Pharmacist Licensure: In Addition To A Degree, Candidates Should Also Possess A Valid Pharmacist Licensure In The State Of Oregon (Or Be Eligible For Licensure). This Ensures That The Individual Has Met The Necessary Requirements To Practice Pharmacy And Can Oversee The Operations Of The Inpatient Pharmacy.
Previous Management Experience: As A Manager, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Pharmacists And Technicians. Previous Experience In A Management Role Is Typically Required For This Position, As It Demonstrates The Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Effectively.
