- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to disability, leaves, and workers' compensation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the disability, leaves, and workers' compensation process, including initial claims, ongoing case management, and return-to-work programs.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding disability, leave, and workers' compensation programs and processes.
- Collaborate with HR, legal, and other departments to ensure consistency and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as insurance carriers, medical providers, and legal representatives.
- Monitor and analyze leave and workers' compensation data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and conduct training for managers and employees on disability, leave, and workers' compensation programs and processes.
- Serve as a resource for employees seeking information or support related to disabilities, leaves, and workers' compensation.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to disability, leaves, and workers' compensation.
- Manage a team of disability, leave, and workers' compensation specialists, providing coaching, guidance, and performance management.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting and record-keeping related to disability, leaves, and workers' compensation.
- Collaborate with the benefits team to ensure seamless coordination between disability, leave, and workers' compensation programs and other benefits.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling sensitive and confidential employee information.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity and support for employees with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses.
- Continuously evaluate and improve disability, leave, and workers' compensation processes and programs to support the well-being and productivity of our workforce.
Extensive Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws Related To Disability, Leaves, And Workers' Compensation, Including Fmla, Ada, And State-Specific Regulations.
Previous Experience Managing A Hybrid Or Remote Team, With A Strong Understanding Of Effective Communication And Remote Work Best Practices.
Excellent Organizational And Time-Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize And Manage Multiple Tasks And Projects Simultaneously.
Strong Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Motivate And Develop Team Members, And Effectively Handle Conflicts Or Difficult Situations.
Experience In Developing And Implementing Policies And Procedures Related To Disability, Leaves, And Workers' Compensation, Including Compliance And Reporting Requirements.
