Lab Assistant - Phlebotomy

Legacy Health is looking for a motivated and experienced Lab Assistant to join our Phlebotomy team. We are seeking an individual with excellent organizational skills and a deep understanding of laboratory functions and protocols. To be successful in this role, you must have first-rate communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and collaboratively. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for providing exceptional patient care. Required Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent• Medical assistant certification or equivalent• Phlebotomy certification• 1-2 years of related experience in a laboratory setting• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work independently and collaboratively• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

1. Perform laboratory functions and protocols according to established standards.
2. Accurately collect and process patient specimens for testing.
3. Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures and results.
4. Provide exceptional patient care by following safety protocols and established clinical practices.
5. Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment.
6. Provide instruction and support to laboratory staff on standard procedures and protocols.
7. Ensure that all laboratory information is accurate and up-to-date.
8. Assist with the training of new lab personnel.
9. Adhere to all relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
10. Maintain professional relationships with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers.
