  1. Greet and welcome patients and their families in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  3. Prepare and serve meals and beverages to patients and staff according to dietary restrictions and menu guidelines.
  4. Monitor food inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
  5. Assist with meal planning and menu development.
  6. Ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
  7. Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
  8. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a courteous and prompt manner.
  9. Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor while interacting with patients, families, and staff.
  10. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  12. Attend training sessions and educational workshops to improve skills and knowledge.
  13. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  14. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Food Service Worker At Legacy Health Should Have A Minimum Educational Requirement Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Effectively Communicate And Follow Instructions.

  • Food Handling Certification: Legacy Health Requires All Food Service Workers To Have A Valid Food Handling Certification. This Certification Demonstrates That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Handle Food Safely And Maintain Proper Sanitation Standards.

  • Previous Experience In A Food Service Role: While Not Always A Requirement, Previous Experience In A Food Service Role Is Highly Preferred For A Food Service Worker Position At Legacy Health. This Experience Can Include Working In A Restaurant, Cafeteria, Or Other Food Service Setting.

  • Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: Working In A Hospital Setting Can Be Physically Demanding, And A Food Service Worker May Be Required To Lift Heavy Objects, Push Carts, And Stand For Extended Periods. Therefore, Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks Comfortably.

  • Strong Customer Service Skills: A Food Service Worker At Legacy Health Is Expected To Interact With Patients, Visitors, And Staff On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Strong Customer Service Skills Are Essential To Ensure A Positive And Friendly Experience For All Customers. This Includes Being Able To Communicate Effectively, Handle Complaints, And Provide Excellent Service.
