Job Description

Legacy Health is seeking an experienced and highly motivated EEG Tech Specialist to join our team. This position is critical in providing our patients with the highest quality of care. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge base of EEG procedures and protocols, be self-motivated and have excellent communication skills. This position requires an understanding of patient care, familiarity with EEG equipment and techniques, and a strong attention to detail. The EEG Tech Specialist will be responsible for providing patient services and support to the neurology department.Required qualifications include a current EEG Tech certification, a minimum of two years of experience in the field, knowledge of intravenous sedation and monitoring techniques, and the ability to read and interpret EEG tracings. Candidates must also have a strong commitment to patient safety, as well as the ability to work independently and in a team setting.We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing quality patient care and is committed to excellence in all aspects of their work. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform EEG procedures and protocols, including set-up, calibration, and operation of EEG equipment.
  2. Monitor patients during EEG procedures, including administering intravenous sedation and monitoring techniques.
  3. Read and interpret EEG tracings.
  4. Communicate effectively with neurology department staff and other healthcare professionals.
  5. Educate and support patients and families regarding EEG procedures and results.
  6. Maintain patient records and files in accordance with department protocols.
  7. Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all safety and infection control procedures.
  8. Ensure all EEG equipment is in good working order and properly maintained.
  9. Participate in continuing education activities to stay current on EEG technology and techniques.
  10. Assist in the training of new EEG technicians and other staff members.
