Job Description

  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including scheduling, training, and supervising staff members.
  2. Ensure that all areas of the facility are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, including patient rooms, common areas, and administrative offices.
  3. Develop and implement cleaning and disinfection protocols to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a healthy environment for patients and staff.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed.
  5. Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed to the required standards.
  6. Coordinate with other departments to address any housekeeping needs or concerns, and collaborate on facility improvement projects.
  7. Train and educate staff members on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and infection control measures.
  8. Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including cleaning schedules, staff attendance, and supply usage.
  9. Communicate with patients and their families to address any housekeeping concerns and ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in housekeeping and infection control, and implement new strategies as needed to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  11. Adhere to all safety and health regulations and policies, and report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate departments.
  12. Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote continuous improvement.
  13. Collaborate with the facilities management team to develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.

  • Experience In Housekeeping: A Coordinator, Housekeeping Services At Legacy Health Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Housekeeping, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
