- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors by warmly welcoming them to Legacy Health and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Assist with the administrative tasks of the Rehab Medicine department, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing phone calls.
- Support the medical staff by preparing examination rooms, stocking supplies, and ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients to gather and record medical histories, vital signs, and other pertinent information.
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure efficient and timely patient care, including assisting with procedures and treatments.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Demonstrate attention to detail in accurately documenting patient information and following established protocols and procedures.
- Act as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and other departments within Legacy Health to ensure smooth and coordinated care.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve patient experience and provide feedback to the medical team.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Display a positive and professional attitude at all times, promoting a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and colleagues.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and enhance patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Rehab Medicine team or management.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program.
Current Certification As A Medical Assistant (Cma) Through The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Through American Medical Technologists (Amt).
Basic Life Support Certification.
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Rehabilitation Medicine Setting.
