Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented, customer service-focused medical assistant looking to make a real impact on patient health? Legacy Health is seeking a Clinic Assistant Medical Assistant with excellent interpersonal skills to join our team. As a Clinic Assistant Medical Assistant, you’ll play an important role in the patient experience, providing assistance to physicians and nurses and ensuring smooth operations in the clinic. To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, current certification from a medical assistant program, and at least one year of experience in a clinical setting. Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and check in patients, verify insurance information, and answer any questions or concerns.
  2. Assist with examinations, procedures, and other clinical duties as requested.
  3. Ensure medical records are accurately updated and maintained.
  4. Prepare and administer medications and injections.
  5. Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
  6. Perform EKGs and other diagnostic tests.
  7. Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits.
  8. Provide patient education and health promotion services.
  9. Adhere to all applicable safety and privacy regulations and policies.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
