  1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the clinic in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the waiting area and throughout the clinic.
  3. Assist with patient check-in procedures, including verifying personal and insurance information and collecting necessary forms and signatures.
  4. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment calendar.
  5. Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and courteous manner.
  6. Prepare and maintain patient charts and electronic medical records.
  7. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient and accurate patient care.
  8. Assist with various medical procedures, such as taking vital signs and collecting specimens.
  9. Maintain clinic cleanliness and organize supplies to ensure a safe and organized environment.
  10. Participate in training and educational opportunities to continuously improve job knowledge and skills.
  11. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  12. Handle patient payments and insurance claims in an accurate and timely manner.
  13. Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to facilitate effective communication and patient satisfaction.
  14. Support and contribute to the overall mission and goals of Legacy Health.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the clinic manager or healthcare providers.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For A Clinic Assistant Position At Legacy Health.

  • Customer Service And Communication Skills: Clinic Assistants Are Often The First Point Of Contact For Patients, So Strong Customer Service And Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Medical Terminology Knowledge: A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Necessary For A Clinic Assistant To Effectively Communicate With Healthcare Professionals And Accurately Document Patient Information.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Clinic Or Hospital, Is Highly Desirable For A Clinic Assistant Position At Legacy Health.

  • Basic Computer Skills: Clinic Assistants Are Responsible For Maintaining Patient Records And Scheduling Appointments, So Basic Computer Skills Are Necessary For This Role. Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Record Systems Is A Plus.
