- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with personal hygiene, feeding, and ambulation, under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning to ensure comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing emotional support and answering any questions or concerns.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of illness and maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
- Attend required training and continuing education courses to maintain CNA2 certification and enhance skills and knowledge.
- Provide a welcoming and compassionate environment for patients and their families, reflecting Legacy Health's commitment to exceptional care.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing staff or supervisor.
Completion Of A State-Approved Cna2 Training Program: To Become A Cna2 At Legacy Health, Candidates Must Have Completed A State-Approved Training Program Specifically For Cna2S. This Program Includes Advanced Training In Specialized Patient Care, Such As Wound Care And Medication Administration.
Active Cna2 Certification: Candidates Must Possess An Active Cna2 Certification In The State Where They Will Be Working. This Certification Is Obtained After Completing The Required Training Program And Passing A Competency Exam.
Previous Experience As A Cna: While Not Always Required, Previous Experience As A Cna Can Be Beneficial For A Cna2 Position. This Experience Can Demonstrate A Candidate's Understanding Of Basic Nursing Skills And Their Ability To Provide Quality Patient Care.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Cna2 Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Must Also Have Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build Rapport With Patients And Provide Emotional Support.
Physical And Emotional Stamina: Working As A Cna2 Can Be Physically And Emotionally Demanding. Candidates Must Have The Physical Stamina To Stand, Walk, And Lift For Extended Periods, As Well As The Emotional Resilience To Handle Difficult Situations And Provide Compassionate Care To Patients.
