
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Progressive Care Unit PCU

- Provide compassionate and attentive care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing team.
- Help patients with mobility and positioning to prevent pressure ulcers and promote comfort.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their stay in the PCU.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, following infection control protocols and procedures.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and educational sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in the transportation of patients to and from procedures or tests.
- Document all patient interactions and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and protocols, including dress code, attendance, and punctuality.
- Continuously maintain and update CNA certification and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.
State Certification: A Cna Must Have A Valid State Certification To Practice In The State Of Oregon.
Cpr Certification: Legacy Health Requires All Cnas To Have A Current Cpr Certification To Respond To Emergency Situations In The Pcu.
Experience In Progressive Care: Candidates For This Position Should Have At Least 1 Year Of Experience Working In A Progressive Care Unit Or A Similar Acute Care Setting.
Strong Communication Skills: Cnas In The Pcu Work Closely With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, It Is Crucial For Them To Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Others.
Ability To Multitask: The Pcu Can Be A Fast-Paced And Demanding Environment. A Cna Should Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively To Provide Quality Care To Patients.
