- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nurse.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
- Assist with transporting patients to and from procedures or tests.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in patient education and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Assist with stocking and maintaining supplies and equipment.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.

Completion Of A State-Approved Cna Training Program: A Cna Working In A Progressive Care Unit (Pcu) At Legacy Health Must Have Completed A State-Approved Training Program And Have A Valid Certification. This Ensures That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide Quality Care To Patients In A Pcu Setting.
Experience In A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Setting: Candidates For A Cna Position In The Pcu At Legacy Health Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Facility. This Experience Helps Them Understand The Unique Needs Of Patients In A Pcu And How To Provide Appropriate Care.
Knowledge Of Basic Medical Procedures And Terminology: Cnas In A Pcu At Legacy Health Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Basic Medical Procedures And Terminology. This Includes Knowledge Of Vital Signs, Medication Administration, And Basic Medical Equipment. This Knowledge Is Essential For Providing Safe And Effective Care To Patients.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment: Working In A Pcu At Legacy Health Can Be Fast-Paced And Demanding. Cnas Must Be Able To Keep Up With The Changing Needs Of Patients And Work Efficiently Under Pressure. They Should Also Be Able To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks Effectively.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Effective Communication And Teamwork Are Essential For Providing Quality Care In A Pcu At Legacy Health. Cnas Must Be Able To Communicate Clearly With Patients, Their Families, And Other Members Of The Healthcare Team.
