Job Description

At Legacy Health, we are looking for an experienced and certified Central Sterile Technician to join our team! As a Central Sterile Technician, you will be responsible for providing critical services to our healthcare teams to ensure the highest levels of patient safety and care. This role requires a highly organized individual with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a sterile and safe environment.To be successful in this role, you must possess a certification as a Central Sterile Technician or equivalent, and have a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role in a hospital setting. You must be able to work collaboratively with other departments and must possess excellent customer service and communication skills. Additionally, you must have a thorough understanding of sterilization procedures and a commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a clean, sterile and safe environment according to established standards.
  2. Ensure all supplies and equipment are properly sterilized and stored in an orderly manner.
  3. Set up instruments and equipment for surgery and other medical procedures.
  4. Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycle times and inventory.
  5. Monitor and maintain sterilization equipment and report any problems to the proper personnel.
  6. Monitor and maintain sterilization supplies and order additional as necessary.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and procedures and report any unsafe practices.
  8. Monitor and maintain a clean work environment according to established protocols.
  9. Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
  10. Provide excellent customer service and communication skills to colleagues, patients, and visitors.
