  1. Monitor and analyze cardiac rhythms and vital signs of patients using specialized equipment.
  2. Recognize and respond to any abnormal cardiac rhythms or vital signs promptly.
  3. Document and report any changes or concerns in patient's condition to the appropriate medical personnel.
  4. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
  5. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as safety and infection control protocols.
  6. Maintain and troubleshoot cardiac monitoring equipment as needed.
  7. Educate patients and their families on the use of cardiac monitoring equipment and any necessary precautions.
  8. Keep accurate and detailed records of patient information and monitor trends in heart rhythms and vital signs.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide exceptional care.
  10. Stay up-to-date on new technologies and advancements in cardiac monitoring techniques.
  11. Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  13. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during stressful situations.
  14. Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality regulations to protect patient information.
  15. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification And Training: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required, Along With Completion Of An Accredited Cardiac Monitoring Technician Program. Certification From The National Cardiac Monitoring Credentialing Board (Ncmcb) Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Cardiac Physiology: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Cardiac Anatomy And Physiology, As Well As Common Cardiac Arrhythmias And Their Associated Treatments.

  • Experience With Monitoring Equipment: Experience With Various Types Of Cardiac Monitoring Equipment, Such As Electrocardiogram (Ecg) Machines And Telemetry Systems, Is Preferred.

  • Attention To Detail: Cardiac Monitor Technicians Must Have Excellent Attention To Detail In Order To Accurately Interpret And Report Cardiac Rhythms And Abnormalities.

  • Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential For Effectively Communicating With Healthcare Professionals And Patients Regarding Changes In Cardiac Rhythms And Other Important Information.
