Job Description

We at Legacy Health are looking for a passionate and experienced Art Therapist Specialist to join our team. As an Art Therapist Specialist, you will be responsible for providing creative art therapy services to a diverse population of individuals with mental, emotional, and/or behavioral health issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the principles of art therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary health care team. If you are looking for an opportunity to help individuals through the healing power of art, this could be the perfect role for you!Required Qualifications:• Master’s Degree or higher in Art Therapy from an accredited university• Licensed as an Art Therapist by the State of Oregon• At least two years of experience providing art therapy services to children, adults, and/or families• Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply the principles of art therapy• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team• Commitment to cultural humility and anti-oppressive practices

Responsibilities:

• Provide creative art therapy services to individuals with mental, emotional, and/or behavioral health issues. • Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs. • Facilitate groups and individual art therapy sessions. • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, family members, and other team members. • Document progress, create reports, and write letters of recommendation. • Maintain current knowledge of art therapy best practices and research. • Actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and other professional development opportunities. • Demonstrate commitment to cultural humility and anti-oppressive practices.
