Job Description

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is looking for a highly motivated and talented Sous Chef to join our team! We are a high-end restaurant and bar located in the heart of the city, serving up classic American cuisine. As Sous Chef, you will be a key member of our kitchen team and will be responsible for helping to create unique and flavorful dishes, while ensuring the highest quality standards and food safety regulations are met.To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a sous chef in a high-end restaurant environment. You should have a passion for cooking and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. You should have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and be able to work effectively in a team setting. Responsibilities:

  1. Assist head chef in creating unique and flavorful dishes
  2. Ensure the highest quality standards and food safety regulations are met
  3. Manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations of the kitchen
  4. Oversee and coordinate food preparation, plating, and presentation
  5. Monitor kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed
  6. Train and mentor kitchen staff in proper kitchen procedures
  7. Monitor food costs and ensure portion control
  8. Develop new recipes and menus
  9. Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  10. Troubleshoot any issues that arise in the kitchen
