Job Description

Are you an experienced Sous Chef looking to join a dynamic team? Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is looking for a passionate and professional Sous Chef with a strong background in the kitchen. Our Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to create and maintain a high-quality menu that meets customer expectations. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef and must be committed to delivering a high-quality product. We are looking for an individual who is highly organized and has excellent communication and coordination skills. If you have a passion for cooking and are dedicated to creating delicious and unique dishes, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with the Executive Chef to create a high-quality menu that meets customer expectations.
  2. Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and menus.
  3. Monitor food quality and consistency and make adjustments as necessary.
  4. Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other kitchen staff.
  5. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met and maintained.
  6. Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.
  7. Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
  8. Train and educate kitchen staff on safety protocols and proper food preparation techniques.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  10. Work with the Executive Chef to develop new recipes and menu items.
