Host/Hostess

At Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, we are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Host/Hostess to join our team! We are a casual, yet polished, restaurant that prides itself on offering delicious food options and top-notch customer service. As the first point of contact for our guests, this role requires an outgoing personality, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications: strong organizational and communication skills, a professional attitude, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and basic computer skills. Previous experience in the restaurant industry is preferred but not required. Above all, we are looking for someone who will represent our brand with pride and enthusiasm!

Responsibilities:

1. Greet guests upon arrival and determine their seating preferences.
2. Answer incoming phone calls, take reservations, and provide accurate wait times to callers.
3. Manage the seating chart and seating assignments for each server.
4. Monitor dining room activities, ensuring guests are seated in a timely manner and that all tables are properly set up and maintained.
5. Assist servers and other staff members with various tasks, as needed.
6. Ensure guests’ needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
7. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
8. Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a courteous and timely manner.
9. Balance cash drawers and perform other closing duties at the end of each shift.
10. Assist with other duties as assigned.
