
Material and Process Engineer
Support design efforts relating to mechanical parts and processes for components, systems, and modifications for military and commercial aircraft. Review engineering drawings to identify appropriate mechanical parts and processes to meet overall design criteria for the aircraft. Generate CAD models for standard mechanical parts used in aircraft modifications and installations. Create and maintain CAD drawings for company part standards. Coordinate with engineering, production, quality, customer, program office personnel, and applicable suppliers during design, procurement, fabrication, and aircraft installation process to address and resolve mechanical part/process issues. Maintain company documentation (component drawings and technical process specifications) relating to mechanical part/processes. Write Technical Process Specifications (TPSs). Material research, testing/evaluation and support.
A minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Aerospace/aircraft industry experience
Familiarity with applicable Aerospace and Industry standards and specifications
Ability to use Unigraphics NX CAD software
Familiarity with Siemens TeamCenter PLM software
Knowledge of aircraft mechanical parts/processes (fasteners, slides, pneumatic devices, etc.).
