- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS strategies and programs to ensure a safe and sustainable work environment for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Lead and manage a team of EHS professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent and effective implementation of EHS initiatives.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks, and develop corrective action plans to address them.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate EHS risks in new projects and processes.
- Monitor and analyze EHS data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address them.
- Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance by setting and achieving measurable goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and community organizations, to ensure alignment and compliance with EHS standards.
- Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on EHS performance, issues, and initiatives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on EHS matters, providing guidance and support to all levels of the organization.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in EHS management, and incorporate them into the company's EHS strategy.
- Act as a role model for a culture of safety, promoting and encouraging safe behaviors and practices among employees.
- Develop and manage the EHS budget, ensuring effective use of resources and cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct training and awareness programs on EHS topics to educate and engage employees in maintaining a safe workplace.
- Lead investigations into EHS incidents and accidents, and develop and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Ehs Management, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Industrial Setting.
Certification In Relevant Ehs Areas, Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih).
Strong Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Ehs Regulations And Compliance Requirements.
Proven Leadership Skills And Experience In Managing A Team, Developing Ehs Programs, And Implementing Safety Initiatives.
