  1. Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their needs and inquiries.
  3. Handle customer transactions and payments accurately and efficiently.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized service counter area.
  5. Demonstrate strong product knowledge and be able to answer customer questions.
  6. Communicate effectively with customers to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns.
  7. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
  8. Assist with stocking and replenishing merchandise at the service counter.
  9. Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines.
  10. Stay informed about current promotions and sales to provide accurate information to customers.
  11. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a calm and professional manner.
  12. Maintain a positive attitude and provide a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
  13. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
  14. Continuously strive to improve customer service skills and provide feedback for process improvements.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: A Service Counter Associate At Kroger Must Have A Friendly And Helpful Attitude Towards Customers, As They Will Be Interacting With Them On A Daily Basis. They Should Also Be Able To Handle Difficult Situations With Patience And Professionalism.

  • Cash Handling Experience: As A Service Counter Associate, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Handling Cash Transactions, Including Processing Returns And Exchanges, And Providing Change To Customers. Therefore, They Should Have Experience Handling Cash And Be Comfortable With Basic Math Calculations.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential In This Role, As The Service Counter Associate Will Be Relaying Information To Customers And Other Store Associates. They Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Professionally, Both Verbally And In Writing.

  • Organizational Skills: Service Counter Associates Are Responsible For Managing A Variety Of Tasks, Such As Processing Returns, Answering Phone Calls, And Restocking Merchandise. They Should Be Organized And Able To Multitask In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Store Policies And Procedures: A Successful Service Counter Associate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Kroger's Policies And Procedures, Such As Return And Exchange Policies, Store Hours, And Loyalty Programs. This Knowledge Will Help Them Provide Accurate Information To Customers And Ensure A Smooth Operation Of The Service Counter.
