- Ensure compliance with all relevant FDA and USDA regulations for food labeling.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of current and upcoming regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date on changes and updates in government regulations and communicate any necessary changes to relevant teams.
- Review and approve all product labels to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product development, marketing, and quality assurance to ensure accurate and compliant labeling.
- Manage the review and approval process for new product labels, including coordinating with external partners and agencies.
- Conduct regular audits of product labels to identify any potential compliance issues and make necessary corrections.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to obtain accurate and up-to-date ingredient and nutrition information for labeling purposes.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on labeling regulations and requirements.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all labeling processes and decisions.
- Communicate with government agencies and provide necessary documentation for audits and inspections.
- Proactively identify and address any potential labeling compliance issues.
- Participate in industry conferences and workshops to stay informed on best practices and new developments in labeling regulations.
- Help develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure consistent and accurate labeling across all products.
- Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to resolve any labeling-related legal issues.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Kroger brand and ensure all labeling aligns with brand standards.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field, Such As Food Science, Nutrition, Or Regulatory Affairs.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Regulatory Compliance And Labeling Within The Food Industry.
Extensive Knowledge Of Fda Regulations And Guidelines For Food Labeling, Including Nutrition Labeling And Ingredient Declarations.
Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Interpret And Apply Complex Regulatory Requirements.
Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Product Development, Marketing, And Legal Departments.
