Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician at Kroger, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacists in dispensing medication, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.   1. Dispensing Medication: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for accurately and efficiently dispensing medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  2. Customer Service: The Pharmacy Technician will provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  3. Maintaining Organized Work Environment: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including restocking shelves, cleaning workstations, and properly disposing of expired medications.
  4. Assisting Pharmacists: The Pharmacy Technician will assist licensed pharmacists with various tasks, such as filling prescriptions, counting pills, and labeling medication bottles.
  5. Inventory Management: The Pharmacy Technician will help maintain accurate inventory records by monitoring stock levels, ordering medications and supplies, and properly storing and rotating inventory.
  6. Data Entry: The Pharmacy Technician will accurately and efficiently enter prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
  7. Adhering to Safety and Quality Standards: The Pharmacy Technician will follow all safety and quality standards, including proper handling and disposal of medications, to ensure the safety and well-being of customers.
  8. Attention to Detail: The Pharmacy Technician will demonstrate strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy when filling prescriptions and handling sensitive information.
  9. Training and Development: The Pharmacy Technician will participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay current on pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
  10. Teamwork: The Pharmacy Technician will work collaboratively with other pharmacy team members to ensure efficient and effective operations.
