  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the pharmacy department, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient care.
  2. Act as a leader and mentor to other pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and training to ensure accuracy and efficiency in their work.
  3. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care and service to our customers.
  4. Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy operations.
  5. Maintain accurate and complete records of medication inventory, patient profiles, and prescription orders.
  6. Monitor and maintain proper storage and handling of all medications, including refrigerated and controlled substances.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies in medication orders or inventory levels.
  8. Assist in providing patient education and counseling on medication use, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety and sanitation protocols.
  10. Keep up-to-date with new developments and advancements in the pharmacy field, and implement best practices to improve efficiency and patient care.
  11. Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints, and address them in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Participate in staff meetings and trainings, and contribute ideas for process improvements and cost-saving measures.
  13. Adhere to company policies and procedures, and promote a positive and respectful work environment.
  14. Assist in scheduling and managing the workflow of the pharmacy department to ensure adequate coverage and timely completion of tasks.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Experience In A Pharmacy Setting: A Pharmacy Lead Technician At Kroger Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Pharmacy, Preferably In A Leadership Role. This Will Ensure That The Individual Is Familiar With Pharmacy Operations And Can Effectively Lead A Team.

  • Knowledge Of Pharmaceutical Terminology And Processes: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Pharmaceutical Terminology And Processes, Including Dispensing Medications, Managing Inventory, And Processing Insurance Claims.

  • Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills: As A Lead Technician, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Pharmacy Technicians And Interacting With Customers. Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Essential For Providing Quality Service To Customers And Maintaining A Positive Work Environment.

  • Ability To Train And Mentor Team Members: A Pharmacy Lead Technician At Kroger Will Be Responsible For Training And Mentoring New Technicians And Ensuring That All Team Members Are Up To Date With The Latest Pharmacy Procedures And Regulations.
