  1. Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department, including managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their medication needs, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
  3. Lead and train a team of pharmacy technicians to ensure they are providing accurate and efficient services to customers.
  4. Manage the scheduling of pharmacy staff to ensure adequate coverage and excellent customer service at all times.
  5. Monitor and maintain accurate records of all medications and supplies to ensure proper inventory management and prevent any shortages or discrepancies.
  6. Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to prescriptions.
  7. Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve the overall performance and success of the pharmacy department.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
  9. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards and regulations.
  10. Handle any customer complaints or escalations in a timely and professional manner.
  11. Assist in training and mentoring new pharmacy staff members to ensure they are familiar with company policies and procedures.
  12. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager to support the overall success of the pharmacy department and the Kroger brand.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Pharmacy Lead Technician At Kroger Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.

  • Certification: Candidates Must Be Certified As A Pharmacy Technician By The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Previous Experience: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Pharmacy Technician, Preferably In A Retail Setting.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Pharmacy Lead Technician, Candidates Must Be Able To Lead And Train Other Pharmacy Technicians, As Well As Work Effectively With The Pharmacy Team.

  • Strong Customer Service Skills: Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Necessary For This Position, As Pharmacy Lead Technicians Are Responsible For Interacting With Customers And Addressing Any Concerns Or Questions They May Have.
