- Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department, including managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their medication needs, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
- Lead and train a team of pharmacy technicians to ensure they are providing accurate and efficient services to customers.
- Manage the scheduling of pharmacy staff to ensure adequate coverage and excellent customer service at all times.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of all medications and supplies to ensure proper inventory management and prevent any shortages or discrepancies.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to prescriptions.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve the overall performance and success of the pharmacy department.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards and regulations.
- Handle any customer complaints or escalations in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in training and mentoring new pharmacy staff members to ensure they are familiar with company policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager to support the overall success of the pharmacy department and the Kroger brand.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Pharmacy Lead Technician At Kroger Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Certification: Candidates Must Be Certified As A Pharmacy Technician By The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Previous Experience: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Pharmacy Technician, Preferably In A Retail Setting.
Leadership Skills: As A Pharmacy Lead Technician, Candidates Must Be Able To Lead And Train Other Pharmacy Technicians, As Well As Work Effectively With The Pharmacy Team.
Strong Customer Service Skills: Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Necessary For This Position, As Pharmacy Lead Technicians Are Responsible For Interacting With Customers And Addressing Any Concerns Or Questions They May Have.
