  1. Oversee the daily operations of a specific department, ensuring all tasks and responsibilities are completed efficiently and effectively.
  2. Lead and manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  3. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among team members.
  4. Ensure all products are properly stocked, displayed, and rotated according to company standards.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and work with management to maintain appropriate stock levels.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and addressing any issues that may arise.
  7. Uphold company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines.

  10. Collaborate with other department leaders and store management to plan and execute promotions and events.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized department, following all sanitation guidelines and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and employees.
  12. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market changes to make informed decisions for the department.
  13. Set goals and objectives for the department and work with team members to achieve them.
  14. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  15. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including ethical and legal standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Leadership Experience: The Ideal Candidate For A Department Leader Role At Kroger Should Have Prior Experience In A Leadership Position, Preferably In A Retail Or Grocery Setting. This Experience Should Include Managing A Team, Setting And Achieving Goals, And Handling Day-To-Day Operations.
