  1. Conduct sensory evaluation of food products and provide recommendations for improvement or innovation.
  2. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing, to identify opportunities for new product development and improvements to existing products.
  3. Develop and implement sensory testing protocols to gather data and insights on product quality and consumer preferences.
  4. Analyze sensory data and provide clear and actionable insights to inform decision making.
  5. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality ingredients and materials for product development.
  6. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in sensory science to bring innovative ideas to the table.
  7. Create and maintain detailed records of sensory evaluations and results.
  8. Communicate findings and recommendations to management and other relevant stakeholders.
  9. Participate in product development meetings and provide sensory expertise and guidance.
  10. Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards in all sensory evaluation processes.
  11. Train and mentor other team members on sensory evaluation techniques and best practices.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve sensory evaluation processes and protocols to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  13. Represent Kroger at industry conferences and events to build relationships and stay up-to-date with advancements in sensory science.
  14. Contribute to the development of product positioning and messaging based on sensory insights.
  15. Act as a brand ambassador for Kroger by embodying our values and promoting our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Food Science, Food Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Sensory Science, Preferably In A Corporate Or Manufacturing Environment.

  • Knowledge And Experience With Sensory Evaluation Methods, Statistical Analysis, And Experimental Design.

  • Strong Understanding Of Food Product Development, Ingredient Functionality, And Food Processing Techniques.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Cross-Functionally With Various Teams And Departments.
