1. Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store.
2. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their purchases and answering any questions they may have.
3. Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or other electronic devices.
4. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
5. Verify and validate customer identification for age-restricted purchases.
6. Monitor and manage the cash drawer to ensure accuracy and security.
7. Collaborate with other team members to handle customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
8. Keep up-to-date knowledge of store promotions, discounts, and special offers to effectively communicate them to customers.
9. Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and safety protocols.
10. Attend training and development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of products and services.
11. Upsell and promote additional products or services to customers at the checkout.
12. Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and coworkers.
13. Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager or supervisor.
