
Accountant- M&A/Goodwill & Intangibles
Assist and execute on Deal and Goodwill and Other intangible projects. Participate in purchase accounting- pro forma financial statements- and SEC communications- and other acquisition activities. Participate in carve-out financial statements- held for sale accounting- transition service agreements- and other divestiture activities. Participate in the completion of the annual goodwill and other intangible asset impairment test- quarterly trigger analysis- and transitions tests. Work closely with the third-party valuation firm to coordinate all necessary deliverables and communicate management’s position on certain valuation assumptions. Research technical valuation related issues and the corresponding accounting conclusions to ensure compliance with Company policy. Partner with various teams within finance and the business to understand our systems and processes- along with the support for deals and forecasted cash flows. Prepare accounting position whitepapers and review with the Company’s management and external auditors.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations surrounding Mergers & Acquisitions and Goodwill & Other Intangible Assets
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm or large valuation firm with emphasis in SEC engagements or combined public accounting and industry experience
Ability to work efficiently and achieve high quality results
