- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for the software/SaaS category, in line with overall company goals and objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential vendors and evaluate their capabilities, pricing, and quality.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with software and SaaS vendors, including pricing, service level agreements, and contract terms.
- Manage relationships with key software and SaaS vendors, ensuring timely delivery of products and services and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as IT, finance, and legal teams, to understand business needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly.
- Continuously monitor and assess market trends and changes in the software/SaaS industry, and adapt sourcing strategies as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, including conducting regular business reviews and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Manage the entire procurement process, from identifying needs to contract negotiation and vendor selection.
- Utilize data and analytics to track and report on key sourcing metrics, such as cost savings, vendor performance, and contract compliance.
- Train and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and innovations in software/SaaS procurement, and incorporate them into sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations, in all sourcing activities.
- Represent the company in vendor meetings, conferences, and other industry events as needed.
- Work closely with senior management to provide regular updates on sourcing activities and contribute to strategic decision-making.
