At KPMG, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist to join our Cloud Observability team as the Lead. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that enhance the performance, reliability, and security of our cloud infrastructure. In addition, you will serve as a technical lead, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.To be successful in this role, you must have a deep understanding of cloud computing and experience with various cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. You should also have a strong background in monitoring and observability tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.   1. Develop and implement cloud monitoring and observability strategies to enhance the performance, reliability, and security of our cloud infrastructure.
  2. Serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert for the Cloud Observability team.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
  4. Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and industry best practices.
  6. Lead and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  7. Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  8. Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  9. Work closely with the Cloud Operations team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to cloud monitoring and observability.
  10. Develop and maintain metrics and reports to track the performance and effectiveness of our cloud observability strategies.
  11. Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate and implement new tools and technologies.
  12. Act as a liaison between the Cloud Observability team and other teams within the organization, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
  13. Participate in the hiring and onboarding process for new team members.
  14. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Cloud Observability team.
  15. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including security and compliance standards.
  16. Represent KPMG as a thought leader in the field of cloud observability at industry events and conferences.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Cloud Observability Tools And Techniques: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Cloud-Based Monitoring, Logging, And Alerting Tools, Such As Aws Cloudwatch, Azure Monitor, And Google Cloud Operations. They Should Also Have Experience With Implementing Observability Best Practices In A Multi-Cloud Environment.

  • Strong Technical Background In Cloud Infrastructure: A Senior Specialist In This Role Should Possess A Solid Understanding Of Cloud Infrastructure, Including Virtualization, Networking, Storage, And Security. This Knowledge Is Crucial For Effectively Monitoring And Troubleshooting Cloud Environments.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Using Data-Driven Insights To Identify And Resolve Complex Technical Issues. They Should Also Be Able To Think Critically And Creatively To Develop Solutions For Optimizing Cloud Performance And Reliability.

  • Project Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Leading And Managing Cloud Observability Projects From Start To Finish. This Includes Defining Project Scope, Identifying Resources, Creating Timelines, And Ensuring Successful Project Delivery.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Lead In Cloud Observability, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Effectively Convey Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders. They Should Also Have The Ability To Mentor And Guide Junior Team Members In The Implementation Of Observability Practices.
