  1. Conduct thorough and comprehensive application penetration tests to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  2. Analyze and interpret test results to provide actionable recommendations for remediation.
  3. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand their specific security needs and provide tailored solutions.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in web application security and proactively implement them in testing processes.
  5. Use various tools and techniques to simulate real-world attack scenarios and provide accurate assessments.
  6. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and team members, to explain test results and recommendations.
  7. Develop and maintain documentation for testing procedures, findings, and recommendations.
  8. Provide training and guidance to junior team members on application penetration testing methodologies and techniques.
  9. Continuously improve and streamline testing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Stay abreast of industry regulations and compliance standards to ensure that all testing activities are in line with legal and ethical requirements.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Penetration Testing: A Senior Specialist, Application Penetration Tester Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Conducting Penetration Testing For Various Applications, Web Services, And Databases. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Different Testing Techniques And Tools, As Well As Experience In Identifying And Exploiting Vulnerabilities.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Application Security: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Application Security Principles, Including Owasp Top 10 And Sans Top 25 Vulnerabilities. They Should Also Be Familiar With Secure Coding Practices And Be Able To Provide Recommendations For Secure Coding And Development Processes.

  • Technical Expertise In Various Tools And Technologies: A Senior Specialist, Application Penetration Tester Should Have A Strong Technical Background And Be Proficient In Using Various Tools And Technologies Such As Burp Suite, Metasploit, And Other Network And Application Security Tools. They Should Also Have Experience In Testing Web Services, Apis, And Mobile Applications.

  • Certifications And Training: Kpmg Requires Its Senior Specialists To Have Industry-Recognized Certifications Such As Oscp, Osce, Cissp, Or Other Relevant Certifications. Additionally, Candidates Should Have Completed Training In Ethical Hacking, Penetration Testing, And Other Relevant Security Courses.

  • Communication And Collaboration Skills: A Senior Specialist, Application Penetration Tester Should Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Effectively Work With Clients, Team Members, And Other Stakeholders. They Should Be Able To Clearly Articulate Technical Findings And Provide Recommendations To Improve Security Posture. Additionally, They Should Be Able To Work Independently And In A Team Environment.
