This role requires a deep understanding of US and international trade and customs regulations and the ability to interpret and apply those rules to the client’s situation.To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Accounting, Business, or a related field, as well as a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the trade & customs field. In addition, you should have a deep understanding of US and international customs regulations and the ability to apply them in a practical manner, as well as exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Assist KPMG clients in minimizing customs and international trade risk while ensuring compliance with government regulations.
- Interpret and apply US and international customs regulations to the client’s situation.
- Develop strategies to minimize the client’s customs and international trade risk.
- Monitor changes in US and international customs regulations and advise clients on the implications of those changes.
- Perform financial analysis and provide recommendations to the client.
- Provide guidance and support to clients in the areas of international trade and customs regulations.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Research and identify new business opportunities in the trade and customs field.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to stay up to date on the latest trends and developments.
- Manage projects and teams to ensure deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.
