Responsibilities for this job may include:

  1. Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies and plans for clients, taking into consideration their specific industry and business needs.
  2. Lead and manage a team of disaster recovery professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful execution of projects.
  3. Conduct thorough assessments of clients' current disaster recovery capabilities and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Collaborate with clients to establish business continuity plans and procedures to minimize the impact of disasters on their operations.
  5. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in disaster recovery and business continuity, and incorporate them into client strategies.
  6. Create and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  7. Conduct regular training and drills to test the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans and identify areas for improvement.
  8. Monitor and report on the progress and success of disaster recovery efforts, providing recommendations for enhancements as needed.
  9. Stay informed about potential threats and risks that could impact clients' business operations and proactively recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  10. Provide thought leadership and share expertise on disaster recovery and business continuity to internal teams and clients through presentations, whitepapers, and other mediums.
  11. Oversee the development and maintenance of disaster recovery documentation, including policies, procedures, and recovery plans.
  12. Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure disaster recovery strategies align with overall business goals and objectives.
  13. Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations, to secure new disaster recovery projects.
  14. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  15. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team, encouraging innovation and creativity in disaster recovery strategies and processes.

Job Qualifications
  • Education And Experience: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Business Administration, Information Technology, Or Emergency Management, And At Least 7-10 Years Of Experience In Disaster Recovery Planning And Implementation.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Disaster Recovery Principles And Practices: A Strong Understanding Of Disaster Recovery Methodologies, Risk Assessment, Business Impact Analysis, And Crisis Management.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: The Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Effectively, Delegate Tasks, And Make Critical Decisions During A Disaster Situation.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Director Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, Including Clients, Senior Management, And Technical Staff, To Develop And Implement Disaster Recovery Strategies.

  • Industry Certifications: Relevant Certifications Such As Certified Business Continuity Professional (Cbcp) Or Disaster Recovery Certified Specialist (Drcs) Demonstrate A High Level Of Expertise And Knowledge In The Field Of Disaster Recovery.
