Associate Director, ESG Assurance Specialist

KPMG is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Director, ESG Assurance Specialist to join our team of professionals in providing assurance services to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and verifying the accuracy of our clients’ environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data and ensuring compliance with global standards.As an Associate Director, ESG Assurance Specialist, you will bring a combination of technical and professional skills, a passion for ESG assurance, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in assurance services, including experience in ESG assurance, sustainability, or related fields. You should also possess a CPA or equivalent professional designation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

1. Assess and verify accuracy of clients’ environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data and ensure compliance with global standards.
2. Provide exceptional client service through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Develop innovative assurance strategies and approaches to ESG assurance.
4. Perform research and analysis on ESG assurance topics.
5. Develop relationships with clients and other stakeholders in the ESG assurance space.
6. Stay up to date on the latest developments in ESG assurance and ensure that client processes are aligned with these.
7. Provide ESG assurance training to other team members.
8. Give presentations to clients and other stakeholders on ESG assurance topics.
9. Lead audit engagements and oversee the work of junior team members.
10. Develop and maintain working papers and other documentation in accordance with KPMG’s audit standards.
