Job Description

KPMG is seeking a talented and experienced Associate Director, Assurance Carbon Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and a commitment to excellence. This position requires an individual who is a self-starter, highly organized, and has a track record of taking initiative and producing results. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in assurance, public accounting, and/or carbon accounting. In addition, the candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, a strong understanding of environmental and carbon accounting, and excellent analytical and communication skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting and assurance regulations.
  2. Design and implement assurance plans for carbon accounting projects.
  3. Analyze environmental and carbon accounting data to identify potential issues and risks.
  4. Develop reports and presentations to effectively communicate results.
  5. Provide guidance and training on environmental and carbon accounting techniques.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
  7. Stay up to date with changes in accounting and assurance regulations and developments in the sustainability sector.
  8. Identify opportunities to improve carbon accounting processes.
  9. Manage complex projects and ensure successful completion.
  10. Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
