Assistant General Counsel - Commercial Technology

KPMG is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant General Counsel - Commercial Technology to join our legal team. In this role, you will provide legal advice and counsel to internal stakeholders and our clients on a variety of legal matters. You will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing a wide range of commercial technology-related agreements. The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 5 years of legal experience, including at least 3 years of experience in a large law firm or in-house legal department. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions. You should be highly organized and have a proactive approach to problem solving. A strong business acumen and a willingness to take ownership of projects is essential. Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal advice and counsel to internal stakeholders and clients on a variety of legal matters.
2. Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial technology-related agreements.
3. Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.
4. Analyze legal issues and develop solutions to mitigate risk.
5. Identify areas of potential legal risk and develop strategies to address them.
6. Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
7. Prepare legal documents, such as contracts and license agreements.
8. Advise on intellectual property rights and trademark protection.
9. Review and advise on data privacy regulations.
10. Monitor and track legal activities and maintain an up-to-date database of legal documents.
11. Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders and clients on legal matters.
12. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to legal matters.
13. Support other departments with legal advice and counsel.
