Job Description

KPMG is looking for an experienced Assistant General Counsel – Commercial Technology to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on commercial technology related matters. The successful candidate should have the ability to provide timely and accurate legal advice, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong knowledge of the technology landscape.We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual who is committed to providing superior legal advice to the organization. The ideal candidate must have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing of a state Bar. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of 5-7 years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate setting and must have a thorough understanding of technology and commercial law.If you are looking for an opportunity to join a fast-paced team and have the ability to provide long-term legal advice and guidance to the organization, then this may be the role for you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide timely and accurate legal advice and guidance to the organization on commercial technology related matters.
  2. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of technology and commercial law.
  3. Draft and negotiate contracts, licenses, and other agreements related to commercial technology.
  4. Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the company’s business and provide updates to senior leadership.
  5. Develop and implement compliance and legal policies.
  6. Identify and manage potential legal risks associated with the company’s business.
  7. Support senior leadership in all aspects of the company’s legal strategy.
  8. Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiate settlements.
  9. Manage external legal counsel and other legal vendors.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and external contacts.

Job Qualifications
