Batch Plant Operator

Drive Ready mix truck when required. Work with Central Dispatch to deliver concrete on time and in spec. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment and methods. Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and repair skills. Receive, assign and communicate work orders to production plant and Ready Mix delivery trucks. Schedule, dispatch and monitor truck activity through computer terminal. Support and monitor electronic batching process using Command Alkon batching system. Relay information from site to site via two-way radio system. Monitor and continuously update truck availability and delivery status. Correlate customer needs with other orders to insure punctual arrivals. Prepare and advise management with operational reports for demand forecast, truck utilization, capacity, and other standard dispatch reports. Perform daily equipment walk around and site inspections. Identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
