  1. Provide specialized wound care services to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
  3. Develop individualized care plans for patients based on their specific needs and conditions.
  4. Administer wound care treatments such as dressing changes, debridement, and wound vac therapy.
  5. Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  6. Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques and self-management strategies.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care for patients.
  8. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all wound care procedures and patient progress.
  9. Adhere to infection control practices and protocols to prevent wound infections.
  10. Stay up-to-date with current wound care practices and techniques through continuing education and training.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members.
  13. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and sensitivity towards patients and their families.
  14. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  15. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards related to wound care nursing practice.

Job Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (Rn) License: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Rn License In The State Where The Kindred Healthcare Facility Is Located.

  • Wound Care Certification: The Candidate Must Have A Current Certification In Wound Care, Such As A Certified Wound Care Nurse (Cwcn) Or Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (Cwocn).

  • Experience In Wound Care: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Wound Care, Preferably In An Acute Or Long-Term Care Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Wound Care Protocols And Treatments: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Evidence-Based Wound Care Protocols And Be Familiar With Various Wound Care Treatments, Including Negative Pressure Wound Therapy, Wound Vacs, And Debridement Techniques.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Collaborate Effectively With Other Members Of The Healthcare Team, Including Physicians, Physical Therapists, And Wound Care Specialists.
