Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team and assist with administrative tasks, communication, and patient care coordination.   1. Greet and welcome patients and their families to our unit with warmth and empathy.
  2. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while addressing any inquiries or concerns from patients and their families.
  3. Serve as a point of contact for all communication within the unit, including phone calls, emails, and in-person requests.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including admission and discharge information.
  5. Assist with patient care coordination, including scheduling appointments and arranging transportation if needed.
  6. Coordinate with other departments and team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  7. Maintain inventory and order supplies for the unit, ensuring that all necessary materials are readily available.
  8. Keep the unit environment organized and tidy, including maintaining a clean and welcoming waiting room.
  9. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing reports.
  10. Follow all HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
  11. Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on policies, procedures, and best practices.
  12. Collaborate with other unit secretaries and healthcare professionals to improve processes and enhance patient care.
  13. Exhibit a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  14. Remain flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and tasks.
  15. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment for all team members.
  16. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned by the unit manager or supervisor.
