As a Surgical Services Support Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our surgical services department.   1. Provide support to the surgical services team by assisting with various tasks and responsibilities.
  2. Prepare operating rooms for surgeries by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in working order.
  3. Maintain a clean and sterile environment in the operating rooms, ensuring proper infection control measures are followed.
  4. Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
  5. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for use during procedures.
  6. Assist surgical team during procedures by passing necessary instruments and supplies.
  7. Monitor and document patient vital signs before, during, and after surgery.
  8. Transport patients to and from the operating room and assist with patient transfers as needed.
  9. Stock and organize surgical supplies and ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.
  10. Assist with post-operative clean-up and restocking of operating rooms.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as safety and infection control protocols.
  12. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, surgical team members, and other healthcare staff.
  13. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve job skills.
  14. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families by addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
  16. Follow all HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
  17. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  18. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the appropriate personnel.
  19. Assist with other departmental tasks and duties as assigned by the surgical services manager.
  20. Uphold and promote the mission, vision, and values of Kindred Healthcare.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Surgical Setting Or Operating Room.

  • Certification As A Surgical Technologist Or Completion Of A Surgical Technology Program.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Equipment And Instruments, As Well As Sterilization Techniques.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced, High-Stress Environment And Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
