  1. Provide essential support to the surgical services department, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
  2. Assist surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals with preparation and execution of surgical procedures.
  3. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of surgical supplies, ensuring all necessary items are readily available for procedures.
  4. Ensure all equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and in working order for use in surgeries.
  5. Prepare and maintain surgical rooms and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  6. Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient needs and surgical procedures.
  7. Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery, following established protocols and maintaining a high level of patient safety.
  8. Provide exceptional patient care by responding promptly and effectively to patient needs.
  9. Document and maintain accurate records of patient care and procedures.
  10. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and assist in implementing changes to enhance efficiency and patient care.
  12. Attend departmental meetings and trainings to stay updated on policies, procedures, and equipment changes.
  13. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive and cohesive work environment.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  15. Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
