  1. Provide specialized care to patients undergoing diagnostic or interventional procedures.
  2. Operate state-of-the-art equipment and utilize cutting-edge technology to assist in procedures.
  3. Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatment during procedures.
  4. Administer medications and assist with sedation as needed.
  5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective care.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and procedures.
  7. Educate patients and their families about procedures, potential risks, and aftercare instructions.
  8. Monitor and assess patients for any complications or adverse reactions to procedures.
  9. Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
  10. Stay up-to-date on current trends and advancements in special procedures and critical care.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing best practices.
  12. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during procedures.
  13. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth transitions between procedures and units.
  14. Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor at all times.
  15. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License: A Special Procedures Registered Nurse At Kindred Healthcare Must Hold An Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse License In The State Where They Will Be Practicing.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Nursing Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Nursing Experience, Preferably In A Related Specialty Such As Interventional Radiology Or Cardiac Catheterization.

  • Acls/Bls Certification: Kindred Healthcare Requires All Special Procedures Rns To Hold Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Basic Life Support (Bls) Certifications.

  • Knowledge Of Special Procedures Equipment And Techniques: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Equipment And Techniques Used In Special Procedures, Such As Angiography, Endoscopy, And Cardiac Catheterization.

  • Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills: Special Procedures Rns Must Be Able To Think Critically And Make Quick Decisions In High-Pressure Situations. Candidates Should Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills And The Ability To Adapt To Changing Circumstances.
