  1. Provide exceptional and compassionate care to patients undergoing special procedures.
  2. Utilize specialized skills and expertise to ensure safe and effective procedures.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Monitor and assess patients' condition before, during, and after procedures.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and potential complications.
  7. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  9. Continuously evaluate and improve nursing practices to ensure high-quality care.
  10. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and care plans.
  11. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
  12. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  13. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families as needed.
  14. Attend ongoing education and training to stay current on new procedures and techniques.
  15. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  16. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and a dedication to improving the lives of others.
  17. Assist with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  18. Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  19. Assist with the orientation and training of new staff members.
  20. Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in special procedures nursing.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License: A Special Procedures Registered Nurse At Kindred Healthcare Must Possess A Valid And Current Rn License In The State In Which They Are Practicing.

  • Bls And Acls Certifications: Kindred Healthcare Requires All Special Procedures Rns To Have Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications To Ensure They Are Equipped To Handle Emergency Situations.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Related Field: Kindred Healthcare Prefers Candidates With At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Related Field, Such As Critical Care Or Interventional Radiology, To Ensure They Have A Strong Foundation In Specialized Nursing Skills.

  • Special Procedures Training Or Certification: Candidates With Additional Training Or Certification In Special Procedures, Such As Cardiac Catheterization Or Angiography, Will Be Given Preference For The Special Procedures Rn Job At Kindred Healthcare.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Kindred Healthcare Values Effective Communication And Teamwork Among Healthcare Professionals, So Candidates For The Special Procedures Rn Job Should Demonstrate Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.
