Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg team on a full-time basis. As an RN on our Med Surg unit, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients every day.   1. Provide exceptional patient care: As a Registered Nurse on our Med Surg team, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional care to our patients. This includes administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing treatments as ordered by the physician.
  2. Foster a positive work environment: At Kindred Healthcare, we prioritize creating a positive work environment for our team members. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to a supportive and collaborative team culture and promoting a healthy work-life balance.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team: You will work closely with other members of the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. This will involve effective communication, collaboration, and coordination of care.
  4. Utilize strong clinical skills: We are seeking candidates who possess strong clinical skills and are able to apply their knowledge to provide safe and effective patient care. This includes assessing patient needs, creating and implementing care plans, and evaluating patient responses to treatments.
  5. Demonstrate compassion and empathy: Our patients are going through a difficult time, and it is important for us to provide them with not only medical care but also emotional support. As an RN on our Med Surg team, you will be expected to demonstrate compassion and empathy towards our patients and their families.
  6. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures: It is essential to ensure compliance with all organizational policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely documentation and following established protocols.
  7. Act as a patient advocate: You will act as a patient advocate, ensuring that their rights and preferences are respected and that they receive the best possible care. This may involve communicating with the patient and their family, addressing any concerns or questions they may have, and advocating for their needs.
  8. Participate in ongoing education and training: As a healthcare organization, we are committed to continuous learning and improvement. You will be expected to participate in ongoing education

Job Qualifications
  • Bls And Acls Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution

  • Valid And Current Rn License In The State Where The Job Is Located

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Med Surg Or Acute Care Setting
