  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality respiratory care to patients with a variety of conditions.
  2. Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered by physicians.
  3. Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and response to treatments.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  5. Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  7. Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses.
  9. Stay current on developments and advancements in respiratory therapy through continuing education and training.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  11. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
  12. Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and their families to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  13. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in the delivery of respiratory therapy services.
  14. Maintain a professional and empathetic attitude at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field: A Respiratory Therapist At Kindred Healthcare Must Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Active Rrt Credential: The Candidate Must Hold An Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Credential From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).

  • State Licensure: The Candidate Must Be Licensed To Practice Respiratory Therapy In The State Where The Kindred Healthcare Facility Is Located.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: The Candidate Must Hold Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certifications From The American Heart Association.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Acute Care Setting: Kindred Healthcare Requires A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Therapist In An Acute Care Setting. This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Skills And Experience To Provide Quality Care To Patients In A Fast-Paced Environment.
