- Provide respiratory treatments and therapies to patients in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor and assess patient response to treatments and adjust therapy as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care, disease management, and equipment use.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in the delivery of respiratory care.
- Keep current with advancements and changes in respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients, their families, and coworkers.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and sensitivity towards patients and their unique needs.
- Prioritize and manage workload effectively to ensure timely and quality care for all patients.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Attend continuing education and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in respiratory therapy.
- Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the overall functioning of the respiratory therapy department.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.
Current And Valid State Licensure As A Respiratory Therapist.
Ability To Work Independently And Make Critical Decisions In A Fast-Paced Environment.
Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field.
Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Respiratory Equipment And Devices.
