- Provide compassionate and quality respiratory care services to patients in accordance with the organization's standards.
- Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patients' progress and response to treatments.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care procedures and techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Stay current with advancements in respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of practice.
- Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities.
- Serve as a positive representative of Kindred Healthcare and its mission.
Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Certification As A Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).
Active State License As A Respiratory Therapist.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Facility.
Experience With A Variety Of Respiratory Therapy Techniques And Equipment, Including Mechanical Ventilation, Oxygen Therapy, And Airway Management.
