  1. Provide compassionate and quality respiratory care services to patients in accordance with the organization's standards.
  2. Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  3. Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Monitor and document patients' progress and response to treatments.
  5. Educate patients and their families on respiratory care procedures and techniques.
  6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  9. Stay current with advancements in respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  11. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  12. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of practice.
  13. Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
  14. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities.
  15. Serve as a positive representative of Kindred Healthcare and its mission.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Certification As A Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).

  • Active State License As A Respiratory Therapist.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Facility.

  • Experience With A Variety Of Respiratory Therapy Techniques And Equipment, Including Mechanical Ventilation, Oxygen Therapy, And Airway Management.
